THERE AND BACK AGAIN

Our topic this half term is There and Back Again - Journeys. The children have already enjoyed sharing their holiday journeys with us and are now finding out about the journey James and his Giant Peach took over the Atlantic Ocean in our class story.

Our Literacy lessons this term will be based on the story 'Zeraffa giraffa' by Dianne Hofmeyr. This is the astonishing true story of Zeraffa, a giraffe who was sent on an epic journey as a gift from Egypt to France in 1826.

This term our topic is DRAGONS.  Click here to see our Mind Map

During the Autumn Term, we looked at drawing our own eyes.  This term, we have compared human eyes to dragon's eyes!

Look at our Dragon Eye Display!

This term our topic is Chocolate.  Click here to see our Mind Map

Well Done to one of our Snowy Owls for creating a game and raising £4.20 for Comic Relief!  We all had fun playing the game on Friday and winning a prize!

In Art we have been learning about the history of the Faberge Eggs.

We created our own Faberge Eggs by painting polystyrene eggs with metallic paint and then dipping in glitter.   Once dried, we decorated with our own selection of jewels that parents kindly donated.   Don't they look amazing!

Sadly our chocolate theme has come to an end but we can now start thinking about our next exciting adventure learning about Dragons next term!

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter
